Alec grew up in a small, poverty-striken village where the people were ruled by a cruel and greedy King. Working long days with his father in the muddy fields, Alec grew strong and determined that one day he would make a better life for himself. Already angry over the disparity between the King's riches and the peasant's hard life, Alec decided to lead a rebellion when his father was killed by the King's son. As the new leader, he soon fell in love with a beautiful maiden who initially spurned him. Frustrated by the politics of court, Alec decided that putting an end to evil - personified by a dark knight - would be his calling. A life-long quest began, and its demands eventually overshadowed the good he had accomplished and robbed Alec of everything he had strived for. Alec appears first as a young peasant, then as rebel leader and King, and finally as a tired, regretful warrior. |
